my server = NO REPONSE

Hello, I am looking to do a server on zandronum from the laptop. Each time I try to go on it on my main computer, I see the server as NO REPONSE and I can't enter it. Port Fowarding cannot be the problem, because I can create server on zdaemon or other games like Starcraft.

I tried to add a custom server with the local ip of the laptop, but its not working.

Any help would be appreciated

Port forwarding can still be a problem, because Zandro uses different ports... If you use UPnP check if UPnP switch was switched. Unless your computer is open to WAN, which is not very safe. Maybe option to make server opened to LAN and/or to master (depends what you aim for) was turned off... (Distributing to LAN doesn't really work for me, I have to add custom server to list).
If you want only local server, check if you added right port... and source port to your launcher. Oh, and maybe your firewall doesn't have rules for Zandro? That would explain it not being achievable on LAN.

Hah, Glitchlogteam.

If your PC can run right now a server on Zdaemon (port 10666), you are able to run a Zandronum server too.

Wait SomeoneElse: Zdaemon/Zandronum uses the same port 10666 as a default one, right (if I'm judging from the DooMSeeker & IDE's "create a server" panels)? ; it's no different from one to another...

My guess is that your PC has another local IP than the one you attributed earlier which has the forwarding done.
Just my 2 cents about that.

Or, check your UpNp settings, as SomeoneElse suggested.

Ch0wW, post was edited, before it was stating he set 10666 as external and 10667 as internal (or opposite) which would be able to bring some confusion. Also this post looks completely different now so everything I wrote doesn't make sense without its context :)

Also, if server is using same router as pc you play on, you don't need to forward stuff. But if you like to, little tip: write sv_showlauncherqueries true into server console, if they're forwarded correctly you should get spam because all people refreshing their serverlist will contact with it.

If it's all as you say, and you have no problems with making zdaemon and others server for self I can guess you made some mistake in some step...
