Summary | 0000588: Add option to disable fog for software renderer |
Description | The reason is that any fog looks well with OpenGL, but looks horribly with software renderer. So it would be great if there were some setting/option to render fog only in OpenGL and not in software.
In some jumpmaze (and any other) maps there is a fog, but sofware users complain that it is annoying for them (the can't see anything or it just looks bad) so map authors have to remove the fog completely, but the maps lack their atmosphere that they had with fog. (For example map map56 or jpx23 of Jumpmaze).
|
Steps To Reproduce | I think it could be a setting in "Options>Display>Render fog in software" (on/off), like there is already "gl_fogmode 0" for OpenGL.
Or there could be MAPINFO flag to disable all fogs in map (for example "outsidefog darkgray nosoftware") or just "nosoftwarefog" |
