Summary | 0000406: Bots/players in (T)LMS/Survival vanish upon death if compat_instantrespawn is set to 1 | ||||||||
Description | When bots/players lose their lives in (T)LMS/Survival online, the player bodies simply vanish. The "Death" state isn't displayed. | ||||||||
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Start a survival server. Set compat_instantrespawn and teamdamage to 1. 2. Connect 2 clients to the server. 3. Join the game with both clients. 4. When the warm-up countdown ends, kill client A with client B. | ||||||||
Additional Information | Online, player corpses in (T)LMS/Survival disappear when the corresponding players die and turn into spectators. Is this the intended behavior? | ||||||||

Not so sure about this one. Should have some deeper investigation (if it still happens that is though I would assume it still does) before tacking this on botscript. Botscript should have no direct effect on the gamesim.. though Carn did include ACS_Execute in the thing... |

Not instantly as before, though. I made sure the behavior with and without compat_instantrespawn is the same. Can you confirm this? Regarding the body disappearing after death in general, this is to be asked to who implemented the spectating mechanism. |

In that case, yes the behavior is the same with or without the flag on. You can see parts of the death state before the corpse disappears. |

I tested with 3.0-160814 and the fixed corpse behavior was intact. |
