 I think that first we should backport this changeset:'https://bitbucket.org/Torr_Samaho/zandronum-zdoom-sync/commits/1791b74976ea9af82309feaf2e5222a7dc59c6a9 [^]' , which fixes the crash outside the gameplay, then we can fix the server bug by ourselves.

 I backported this changeset (although the currentpos fix is mixed with a completely unrelated change). This should already fix the server crash. Of course, this command doesn't make sense on the server and it should probably just always return an error message there.

 Hm, I didn't notice that the "You are not in game!" missed the linebreak. It's evident if you try the command. I'll fix it in zdoom.

 This was fixed in 3.0 and no longer causes the crash. Since the linebreak fix is so trivial, we can just wait the codebase update in 4.0.
