Summary | 0002309: Ancient weapon desync after "changemap" map changes in COOP: Client fires weapon too late on client |
Description | If you for instance fire the rocket launcher when seeing yourself spawn after a changemap map change, you'll fire it too late on the client, which in turn causes you to not use any ammo locally. |
Steps To Reproduce | 1. zandronum -iwad doom2.wad -file changemap_weap_desync.wad -host +sv_nomonsters 1
2. zandronum -iwad doom2.wad -file changemap_weap_desync.wad -connect localhost
3. Join the game.
4. "changemap map01" in the server console.
5. Press and hold +attack when you see yourself spawn. |
Additional Information | This is not a regression since it was never fixed. And you can easily reproduce this issue without using a ping emulator. For some reason it doesn't seem to happen in DM. |
