Planning some maintenance

I'd like to do some upgrades to the server soon.
This includes OS upgrades, and perhaps the tracker too.

Just need to figure out a good time to do it at. Sometime this week would be good.

Any updates on this? After all, zan.com uses an OS that went EOL in December. 2015.

Damn, it sure would be nice if the forums had secure logins for once.

Finally getting some replies, but still none from other staff.
When a good time is agreed upon with them, I'll upgrade it to 16.04.

Also, I'm abolishing https completely, so no need for secure logins. not really

Well Since this domain runs on Apache+Ubuntu Server.

I highly recommend: https://certbot.eff.org/

A script that will get you a free SSL cert no strings attached. Just get Igor to do it.

With that out of the way, I've love that as well!

Hmm, I thought this site already used certbot. Ah well, I'll get it setup.

It does use Let's Encrypt. It's just not enforced - which, let's be honest, should be punishable by death.

Upgraded the OS. Didn't go without a hitch, but was quick to get fixed.
Damn site is so fragile.

Also installed certbot and got a verified SSL certificate.
Some pages may complain that the site isn't fully secure, but that's only due to some people's avatars being loaded over http when they use an external site.
