Oh great one Torr Samaho, like you didn't get better things to do rather than making something frigging awesome. Something that everyone will passionately click-shoot every day. Everyday to kill more and more than ever before. Whether or not it's gonna be AOW2 or Duel32. Awesome. And I'm fucking glad you made it. High end never ending contagious of both players and monstras rewarding both hard coders developers and those with minimal coding knowledge and simply everyone with further more toilets (buildings in AOW2) to wipe out and more complex monstras and wipe asses of dumbasess akas other players including those articulate ingame ones whether or not they are identified as trolls or simply taunting fellas or attack helicopters in both duel32 and other deathmatches - game. Cuz they can. Ye.

Good job like always.

BTW I've seen a v4.0 on the Zandronum Wiki, is that for real? And what are the goals of this version?

It I understand, it's a experimental build, the objective to sync Zandronum with the latest zdoom build

Hmm well... I just noticed, when I booted up VS2013 today - that the "Trial" lincese expired. So I went to go look at the price of a real license. And well, it seems to be like... 299 bucks... Dafaq?? Why so much for just one program? I'm no expert on compilers or IDE's but damn son...

I thought VS was free, or is that only VS 2005??

Are you using VS2013 Express or Community Edition? Those are free.

Judging from the commits, IBM is right. They are building in all the features of the development versions of ZDoom, such as SetSectorDamage().
Spoiler: Modding Qualifications (Open)
ACS: If it's of ridiculous scope and of suicide-inducing complexity then it's the thing for me.
DECORATE: I can make more or less any godawful hack I need. Doesn't mean it works, though.
Maps: I only map for testing ACS.
GFX: Not enough time or experience.

If you need help, advice or similar, feel free to send me a PM. ;)

I think it was Community Edition.. It said the trial was up and would just exit out.. Didn't even give me a link to get a license..

If anything, I could try again, but I have to wait 3 hours for the damn program to install again, assuming I can get passed all the license bs

4.0 refers to the zdoom-sync branch, which I use to maintain a Zandronum variant that is (and stays) fully up to date with the latest (G)ZDoom development versions. It will serve as basis for Zandronum versions after 3.x and allows us to backport things from ZDoom to 3.x. The version string 4.0 is misleading though. It's completely undecided on which ZDoom version Zandronum 4.0 will be based on, so the actual 4.0 may be very different from what is in the zdoom-sync branch now.

If VC++ 2005 is working fine for you, you can just keep using that for the time being.

2005 does still work for me. 2013 and such just confuse the heck out of me. They changed everything it seems, and from what I read in the guide, I must use cmake to generate the cmake files in order for 2013 to build.. Sounds like alot of guest work....

Either way, I haven't even looked into any of the fixes/additions this version has to offer. I hope soon I will have some free time to mess around with it.

EDIT: Also I just looked at that new guide again, and noticed it was set to Debug... Isn't it supposed to be Release??

Yes, the normal binaries are build in release mode.

Huh.. well I did try the guide again, with it set to Debug in Cmake... and it worked. Dunno why it didn't work last time. So yea, I can use both 2005 and 2013.
