Welcome back to skulltag, er I mean European FNF because it's time for some good old LMS with good old guns (no bfg) on good old maps with good old hiding spots and exploratory areas with asdfjkl;! American FNF seeks to up the frag count from last FNF by making everybody a hunter this time. There will be many bfg9000's to go around for the lack of them on Europe!

Just a note for anyone who actually reads\gives a shit about euroFNF: We're moving the start time back an hour earlier after some people mentioned it starts kinda late for them.

There's also been talk of us moving to 3.0 early so we can run some cool modern stuff like hdoom so we'll probably make a final call on it after next FNF

oh hey look there goes our doomseeker players well gg. i want fnf to run 3.0 when its DONE. we aren't going to be testing any bugs because most need to be coded first and the few that need testing are obscure. don't you dare give me the 'we will test by playing a game!' because the only two things that will happen are absolutely nothing or fnf crashes. sounds like shit. look up the old fnfs that ran testing versions on zan 1.1.1 or 1.2 early, and when you see how they sucked, agree with me

also ive tested the 'playing a real game' multiple times already and can again later. so do all the pub servers running 3.0. there's your real game

tbh i dont care about any testing aspect of it, i just want to be able to run new shit because everyone is sick of the same stuff. It has been years running and rerunning and there's hardly anything new and definitely nothing fresh.

I'm not even convinced that we can fix the problem because cyberrunner lms was fun af with the small amount of people playing and everyone just didnt bother.

I'm inclined to agree with Marcaek.

Let's just ignore the testing aspect of it for now.

Let's now just focus on one thing: Features.

No, seriously; we can tons of new stuff: Samsara 0.36 (Kinsie's new version of it), Hard Doom 7.1 (Requires A_CustomRailgun flags), plus people have so many new features that they can start doing more things (Even Complex Doom, as much as I dislike it, will benefit). Hell, even my secret project (not posting it here, sorry) gave up on 2.0 because I simply needed A_SetScale and A_ChangeVelocity.

The simple fact of the matter is that by testing 3.0 we can host new stuff; people like new stuff, ergo people play.

The thing was Zandronum 1.1.1/1.2 didn't add any new modding features (okay, it added a few), so there wasn't much incentive to get using them. 3.0 adds so many that we can make people want to use 3.0 just because all of the cool projects start using it.

yea thats what actually releasing 3.0 is for....

its been so long since an update ppl are thinking these BETA versions as what should be played now. poor doomseeker players. That's a more gzdoom way of going about it anyway, where they download their little super up to date release versions until recently cuz doomscript. So if everybody just wants to pile on unfinished versions then go hop in that gzdoom thread or whatever and tell torr we should switch to a more frequent release schedule where things have the potential to be more unstable.

there is a trade off of course: things can break and crash (very bad for fnf no thanks). We ran testing versions before and it was a mess. edit: SNS already ran 3.0 and nobody showed up. good signs right there huh.
