Full Version: Can`t see my server on master server

Hello friends!..

Since masterserver has changed to "master.zandronum.com" I can`t see my servers in masterserverlist (tried to use IDE with address of new masterserver and latest Doomseeker 0.9b).. I use linux base skulltag server 0.98d and really don`t know exact command for changing from default master server (master.skulltag.net:15300) to master.zandronum.com:15300..

I`ve tried to use such commands in my config of server:

set sv_masterip "master.zandronum.net:15300";
set sv_masterip "master.zandronum.net:";
set sv_masterip master.zandronum.net:15300;
set sv_masterip master.zandronum.net;

set skulltag_MasterIP "master.zandronum.com:15300";
set skulltag_MasterIP "master.zandronum.com";
set skulltag_MasterIP master.zandronum.com:15300;
set skulltag_MasterIP master.zandronum.com;

but nothing happened..

May be somebody can show me sample of right config with exact command for changing master server?..

You have to add your local ip and port to your custom servers.
If you are using IDE : Options -> Custom Servers -> Add
If you are using DoomSeeker : Options -> Configure -> Custom Servers -> Add

Of course I did it but rest users will not see my servers when using IDE or Doomseeker although there are bots and me..

P.S. Minor note: I use another computer for Skulltag Server (based on Fedora 16).. And I try to see my servers from IDE/doomseeker (from another computer) but I don`t see them so I suppose I need special command for changing masterserver address in configs of my servers or startline of them..

Did you port-forward? Did you enable DMZ?
And do your friends switched they masterserver address to master.zandronum?

Did you port-forward? Did you enable DMZ?

1. When I`ve used old masterserver address (before skulltag project died) I can see my servers from IDE and my friends too and now with new masterserver I can`t do it..

2. I don`t use router and don`t change any firewall rules in Fedora..

3. Of course my friends switched masterserver address to zandronum..

P.S. Which command must I use in config of my skulltag server to change from old masterserver to zandronum?.. May be command different in linux base skulltag (difference between Windows and Linux commands)?.. Can you give me example of config with masterserver zandronum (by default skulltag 0.98d use "master.skulltag.net:15300" and I want to change it to zandnorum but how)?..
You have the new IDE? If so, It should have master.zandronum.net:15300 by default. If you still have master.skulltag.net:15300 , Go to options , Master Server Addresses and change the address to master.zandronum.net:15300.

And you really should transition to Zandronum 1.0 and try the mods you want. Be sure to load skulltag_data and skulltag_actors in the server.

As IdeIdoom already said, you should upgrade to Zandronum 1.0 and see how it works with this version.

1. Yes, I have the latest IDE..

2. Of course I can install Zandronum 1.0 but one thing that I can`t understand why some other servers can use skulltag 0.98d (I can see them in masterserver list)..

As IdeIdoom already said, you should upgrade to Zandronum 1.0 and see how it works with this version.

That's because they didn't upgrade yet. Either they don't care about Zandronum or they forgot to update.
Sorry for not replying for so long. Finally I installed zandronum on linux and face with same problem (can not see my servers on master server). I can add it manually (in latest doomseeker from this site) and can join them from different IP/ISP (so I port forwarded rightly as I can understand). How can i fix it?

I tried to start server with such parameters:

./zandronum-server -port 10666 +sv_updatemaster 1 -iwad doom2 +exec ServerDM.cfg +addbot ""

or

./zandronum-server -host -port 10666 +sv_updatemaster 1 -iwad doom2 +exec ServerDM.cfg +addbot ""

but still can not see on masterserver (in doomseeker), may be I should add some commands in config files of each servers or add something in start line upper?
I can't understand what problem are you describing here.

You can't see your server hosted outside your local network on the master; you have to manually add the IP in your server browser to see it? Is that what you're saying? Can you post the log of what you see in the console when the server is starting?

Thank you. Yes, I have to manually add the IP in server browser to see my server. Server using direct IP without router and firewall restricts.

Now that I've checked the server, I'm pretty sure that your servers were banned due to having permanent bots. See the Master Server Policy

Contact a master server admin in #staff regarding this issue.

Thanks. As I undestand if remove bots I can ask to unban my servers.

P.S. In fact I didn`t know about such thing cause when I use skulltag my servers also have permanent bots .
